JEFF HUNTER – Gym Manager & Head Trainer
Jeff Hunter’s passion for fitness and his lifelong desire to help others succeed is what drives him every day. With over 6 years of experience, Jeff has helped individuals of all ages and abilities reach their fitness and athletic goals, from the elderly to young athletes to professional competitors.
Jeff has been a strength and conditioning coach for various undefeated professional boxers, such as Lavarn Harvell, who currently boasts a 13-0 record. He has also been a strength and conditioning coach for all types of athletes, such as wrestlers and tri-athletes. He has helped countless individuals rediscover their inner athlete to become healthier and fitter. His goal is to motivate, inspire and educate groups or individuals in the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through the use of resistance training, mobility, and proper nutrition. He is a Crossfit level 1 coach, has completed TRX Suspension Training courses, and holds the National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Training Certification.
Andrew Buitron is a certified personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT). Throughout his athletic career, he has taken part in various sports such as boxing, kickboxing, Greco-Roman wrestling, bodybuilding, and soccer. He has also been a personal trainer at many well-known health clubs, such as New York Sports Club, LA Fitness, and Club KO Kickboxing.
Having worked with clients of all ages, he uses a multi-technique approach to help personalize a fitness plan just for you. Including boxing, circuit training, and high intensity interval training, Andrew is here to help you meet any fitness goal. He also likes to ensure proper posture and teach detailed lifts, such as Olympic and Power Lifts, to his experienced clients.
Jessica is an energetic Montclair State University alumna. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. As a former collegiate athlete on the MSU Swim team, Jessica knows the dedication, determination and commitment involved to achieve long term fitness goals. She loves to motivate her clients to build a better version of themselves through fitness. Her positive outlook on life helps her clients grow in the gym as well as in their daily lives. Jessica believes training should be focused on long and short term goals that are powered by the drive and the desire to achieve them. She enjoys HIIT, circuits, kettle bells, in addition to incorporating running and swimming into her workouts. Jessica is determined to ensure proper form and good posture, as well as constantly providing feedback and empowering motivation. It is her pleasure to serve her clients and to be a part of their lives in a positive way
PATRICK “PADDY” FARREL
Patrick Farrell, a lifelong resident of NJ and graduate of the Jersey City public school system, has been competing as an athlete in a variety of sports for his entire life.
At the age of 14, Farrell was selected to play for USA Baseball’s Junior Olympic program, competing internationally for 3 years. Farrell, also a standout Linebacker for the St. Peter’s Prep Marauders, accepted a scholarship to play football for Division 1-AA La Salle University. After graduating in 2005, Farrell returned back to the city he grew up in and began boxing under the tutelage of his next door neighbor, Mickey “Red” Skowronski. Under his guidance, Farrel won 4 straight state titles as a Heavyweight in the state of New Jersey, winning the NJ Golden Gloves and NJ Diamond Gloves in 2007 and 2008.
After representing and competing with USA boxing, Farrell decided to turn pro amassing a record of 10-2-1. He has trained alongside Tomasz Adamek, a 3 division world champ, as well as some of boxing’s best trainers- Mickey “Red” Skowronski, Tommy Brooks, Lenny DeJesus and Aroz “Terrific” Gist.
Farrell has since accepted a job as a Jersey City Firemen, fulfilling a lifelong dream to do so. With a background in power lifting, strength & conditioning and boxing, Farrell joins the Everlast Lab team with a wealth of knowledge in many different areas and looks forward to training and working with some of the best.
Mike Skowronski aka Coach Red, is one of the most recognized names in the boxing world when it comes to training pros. Starting in his early teens, Coach Red quickly learned of his talent in bringing aspiring fighters to the limelight. Now with 20+ years of experience, his impressive resume and knowledge for the sport includes training childhood friend and the late champion Arturo Gatti, James Kirkland, Glen Tapia and many others. Coach Red has also trained fighters in the octagon with past fighters such as former UFC champ Kurt Pellegrino, and with UFC’s up-and-coming star George “The Silencer” Sullivan. Today, he spends his time at the Everlast Lab training long time clients and athletes.
